Description

Piston Type Solenoid Valve Normally Closed

Piston Type Solenoid Valve Normally Closed is an electromechanical valve that acts with the help of magnetic force. It can be opened and closed with the help of a piston mechanism and is usually used to control the passage of liquid or gas. Piston type solenoid valves are often used in industrial automation systems and can change characteristics such as the speed and direction of the controlled air flow.

Where is the Piston Type Solenoid Valve Used?

They are generally used to open or close the flow of liquid or gas in a controlled manner. For example, in automatic irrigation systems, such valves can be used to adjust irrigation times and quantities. In addition, these valves can also be used in air or water pressure controlled systems.

Solenoid Valves are manufactured in two types: normally closed (to open the closed valve when the coil receives energy) and normally open (to close the open valve when the coil receives energy).

Normally Open State Operation System

A Normally Open Solenoid valve initially allows fluid to pass through. In order to close the valve, the coil is activated by the electric current coming to the coil and pushes the core downwards and closes the orifice hole mouth and in this case the pressure inside gets higher and higher, pushes the diaphragm downwards and closes the orifice through which the fluid passes. In a short time the pressure spreads uniformly over the diaphragm and the pressure that is higher than the pressure of the fluid prevents the fluid from lifting the diaphragm, so the valve is closed. All this happens in a very short time. Our product is designed to get the best efficiency.

Recommendations

Mount the solenoid valve so that the coil remains above. Use filters such as dirt trap etc. before the solenoid valve in the installation. We use more durable diaphragm and gasket material for high temperatures
Please specify your diaphragm and gasket request for high temperature in your orders.

Considerations in Solenoid Valve Selection:

  • The coil must be selected according to the operating voltage (AC-DC). Protection and insulation should be provided according to the place where it will be applied. (Electricity is turned on when the air comes on, and when you cut the electricity, it takes the closed position again)
  • Min. and max. pressure values in the line or system you will use are very important in the selection of the valve.
  • The nature and temperature of the fluid has a direct influence on the choice of valve
  • The direction of the fluid and the arrow mark on the body should be in the same direction and attention should be paid to the installation.
  • Since the solenoid valve does not function as a check valve, the fluid flows back at reverse pressures. In these cases, it is correct to install a check valve after the solenoid valve in terms of connection.
  • The line to which the valve is attached must be cleaned of debris.
